Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure, component-driven software solutions across the full stack.
- Translate product capabilities and customer needs into clear, testable engineering work.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, engineers, data partners, and other stakeholders on technical decisions and sprint planning.
- Review and improve code structure, architecture, testability, maintainability, and scalability.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, peer design reviews, code reviews, and continuous improvement activities.
- Help diagnose and resolve production issues while maintaining high standards for reliability and quality.
- Contribute to engineering standards, security and development best practices, and delivery workflows.
- Mentor team members, provide actionable feedback, and participate in engineering interviews.
- Travel three to five times annually to the NYC or Reston, VA office.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of production-level software development experience covering feature design, development, documentation, and deployment.
- Hands-on proficiency with JavaScript or TypeScript, React, Node.js, and AWS Serverless technologies.
- Experience reviewing and improving code structure and architecture for testability, maintainability, and scalability.
- Strong problem-solving and collaborative communication skills, including the ability to partner with Product Owners on backlog prioritization.
- Demonstrated ability to propose and implement improved systems and processes.
- Ability to lead or contribute to teams, mentor colleagues, provide actionable feedback, and evaluate engineering talent through interviews.
- Authorization to work in the United States for any employer.
- Interest in mission-driven work, emerging technologies, AI-driven solutions, continuous learning, and collaborative engineering practices.
