Responsibilities
- Design, build, and scale reliable systems powering merchant experiences.
- Develop services and business logic in Go or Kotlin.
- Work across the full development lifecycle, including testing, cloud infrastructure, and data streaming.
- Collaborate on architecture and technology choices for simple, scalable, and efficient systems.
- Own services end to end from implementation through production.
- Lead by example, mentor junior engineers and peers, and collaborate with partner teams.
- Identify gaps and recommend improvements to customers, colleagues, and cross-functional partners.
Requirements
- Experienced software engineer with strong customer-problem-solving and technical judgment skills.
- Experience building high-quality, scalable systems in Go or Kotlin.
- Ability to balance short-term needs with long-term goals and manage projects effectively in uncertain situations.
- Demonstrated ownership of team work and production services.
- Experience serving as a role model or informal leader and mentoring engineers.
- Strong communication skills with a concise and direct communication style.
