Responsibilities
- Develop, test, implement, document, maintain, and support application software.
- Create secure, scalable, high-quality software solutions from technical requirements and design artifacts.
- Research and evaluate technical solution alternatives, technologies, and frameworks for current and future business needs.
- Perform feasibility studies, logic design, systems flowcharting, input-output analysis, and cost and time analysis.
- Identify emerging issues, recommend solutions, perform assigned work independently, and participate in production incident management.
- Participate in an on-call pager support rotation.
- Follow software development, quality assurance, quality control, security, and documentation standards.
- Support project and software metrics collection and reporting.
- Contribute to process improvements and updates to project documentation templates.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
- Thorough knowledge of software engineering concepts and methodologies.
- Object-oriented programming, coding, and debugging skills.
- Experience with configuration-management tools such as Subversion and Git, as well as ExtJS, Java, Spring, Hibernate, SQL, and Oracle.
- Understanding of software design principles, patterns, algorithms, data structures, and multithreading concepts.
- Ability to use industry-standard test automation frameworks, tools, and practices.
- Knowledge of continuous delivery practices and experience with testing frameworks and methodologies such as Gtest, JUnit, and mocking.
- Experience with relational databases, efficient SQL queries, and stored procedures.
- Ability to work across Windows, UNIX, and Linux operating systems.
- Experience in agile and waterfall environments is preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication, problem-solving, independent-learning, and knowledge-acquisition abilities.
