Responsibilities
- Automate and optimize service deployments and maintain distributed platform services.
- Architect, build, administer, and improve on-premises and cloud infrastructure across development, staging, and production environments.
- Operate and improve Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, GitLab, Helm, and related deployment processes.
- Monitor system performance, server logs, security incidents, resource usage, and operational readiness.
- Maintain CI/CD, configuration management, software revisions, security patches, hardening, and technical documentation.
- Enforce security and reliability best practices, including access control, vulnerability testing, and authentication integration.
- Support operational planning, readiness reviews, maintenance tracking, and on-call production operations.
- Participate in SAFe and Scrum development teams and meetings.
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Current Top Secret/SCI clearance or ability to obtain Top Secret SCI with polygraph.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Experience with container images and platforms such as Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift.
- Understanding of DevOps, software/application development processes, GitLab or other continuous integration tools, and microservice architecture patterns.
- Understanding of Python, Bash, and shell scripting.
- Knowledge of network technologies, infrastructure components, load balancers, firewalls, and virtual and physical infrastructure design.
- Experience deploying on-premises infrastructure.
- Experience building Kubernetes deployment processes using GitLab and Helm is desired.
- Understanding of access management and security groups, including IAM, S3 buckets, SSH, and VPN, is desired.
- Ability to use unit and functional testing and experience with Jira and Confluence are desired.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, time-management, and independent-work skills.
