Responsibilities
- Plan, estimate, and refine stories, epics, and design changes within an Agile Scrum team.
- Design and build scalable automated test frameworks for REST APIs, SDKs, and microservices.
- Develop test strategies and coverage plans for login, MFA, SSO, delegated access, and other identity workflows.
- Build test harnesses for OAuth2 and OpenID Connect flows and third-party identity-provider integrations.
- Drive test automation within CI/CD pipelines and perform system integration testing with identity providers and downstream services.
- Analyze test failures, debug root causes, and collaborate with engineers to resolve issues.
- Contribute to test plans, code reviews, risk assessments, and release sign-offs.
- Mentor junior SDETs and promote quality-first development practices.
- Use and evaluate AI to improve test design, scenario coverage, code quality, defect diagnosis, documentation, and engineering productivity while maintaining secure and compliant practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of hands-on software-testing experience, including at least 2 years focused on identity or platform engineering.
- Proficiency in Java for automation development and expertise with REST APIs, SDKs, and backend microservices.
- Deep experience with OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML, and JWT.
- Experience with public cloud platforms, especially AWS, and with external identity providers such as Azure AD and Google Workspace.
- Experience with Postman, RestAssured, Cypress, and Cucumber.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins and GitLab and containerized environments including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Database familiarity, including schemas, SQL queries, basic operations, and database-side validation in automated tests.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and log/code investigation skills.
