Base Salary
$130k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical and thought leadership across multiple enterprise areas.
- Lead the strategy and execution of technical roadmaps and software development strategies.
- Design, build, and improve reliable, usable, performant, and scalable systems.
- Collaborate with product managers, customers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to solve complex problems.
- Mentor engineers and strengthen the technical expertise of engineering and product communities.
- Influence executives, product roadmaps, engineering direction, and resource planning.
- Analyze costs, forecast needs, evaluate operational processes, and measure outcomes.
- Promote best practices, continuous learning, and process improvements across teams.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software development experience within a Java framework such as Spring.
- 8+ years of architecture and design experience.
- 6+ years of experience with open-source frameworks.
- 4+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience.
- Fluency and specialization in at least two modern languages such as Java, C++, Python, or C#, including object-oriented design.
- Deep knowledge of data structures, algorithms, quantitative problem solving, software architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience transferring research to production, conducting experiments, and influencing engineering and product direction.
- Experience with infrastructure as code, developer tooling, application monitoring, performance assessment, cloud architecture, and Azure operational frameworks.
- Experience with microservices-oriented architecture, REST APIs, PowerShell scripting, Azure Portal, Azure networking, and security technologies including Active Directory, Windows Authentication, SAML, and OAuth.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup-like environment and provide technical leadership.
