Responsibilities
- Define test plans, test scenarios, test data, and detailed manual test cases for functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
- Lead formal test cycles, write and review Software Verification Plans, and support large-scale release verification.
- Own defect reproduction, documentation, triage, root-cause analysis support, and verification of fixes across the full system.
- Participate in requirements, architecture, and design reviews to improve testability and risk coverage.
- Troubleshoot UI, services, integrations, and database layers using test and defect management tools.
- Execute and maintain existing functional, integration, regression, performance, and UI automation suites; analyze failures and identify automation candidates.
- Use foundational automation knowledge and AI-assisted testing tools to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Mentor testers through hands-on guidance and execution-focused leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 14+ years of hands-on experience in manual testing and system verification of complex software systems.
- Strong knowledge of RDBMS concepts and hands-on SQL experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server.
- Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools, including execution tracking, defect triage, and reporting.
- Foundational knowledge of test automation concepts and exposure to AI-assisted testing tools or workflows.
- Preferred experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and ISTQB Foundation certification or equivalent.
- Preferred experience supporting UI or API automation suites, analyzing flaky tests and coverage gaps, and testing distributed or integrated systems.
