Responsibilities
- Design and analyze test scenarios, test cases, test strategies, and test plans based on business use cases.
- Execute functional, UI, API, and manual tests; analyze results and report and track defects and tasks.
- Design, develop, and maintain dynamic automated regression solutions using organization-supported tools.
- Contribute to test documentation, automation script reviews, code reviews, sprint planning, and Scrum events.
- Analyze business requirements and participate in project discussions from early development stages.
- Suggest product usability and quality enhancements to improve customer satisfaction.
- Mentor junior testers and collaborate across teams in deadline-driven sprint cycles.
- Use AI-powered development tools to accelerate automation script development, maintenance, and code reviews.
Requirements
- 3–4 years of experience in manual and automation testing across UI and API layers.
- Proficiency with Selenium and Java, TestNG, Cucumber, Playwright, Python, or Robot Framework.
- Strong programming skills and experience designing automation frameworks such as Page Object Model, hybrid, or data-driven frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with API automation, REST APIs, web services, Postman, or Rest Assured.
- Exposure to Jenkins, Kubernetes, Git, and JavaScript for integration and automation workflows.
- Experience writing and executing test cases, analyzing results, reporting defects, and using Jira, Zephyr Scale, or Bugzilla.
- MCA or B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science is preferred, though other disciplines with strong technical skills are considered.
- Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to mentor junior testers and participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and Scrum events.
- Preferred qualifications include Playwright with Java, Robot Framework with Python, automation framework design, REST API or web-services testing, HTTP, CSS, JavaScript, ERP or business-process knowledge, and testing-related certifications such as ISTQB.
- Experience with AI-assisted coding tools such as Kiro, GitHub Copilot, or Amazon Q is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Excel charts and graphs and familiarity with business applications and processes are additional advantages.
