$79k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, architect, and build large-scale distributed systems for OCI region builds and network orchestration.
- Develop services and frameworks that simplify complex networking challenges at scale.
- Collaborate across OCI teams to design unified, automated, and observable systems.
- Lead technical direction for high-impact projects, mentor engineers, and shape design reviews.
- Improve service reliability, latency, and operational automation through tooling, metrics, and self-healing systems.
- Partner with senior leadership on architectural strategy and OCI’s region-build roadmap.
- Contribute to AI adoption through prompt engineering and agentic programming.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a relevant technical field involving coding, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of total software development experience.
- Strong coding ability in Java, Go, C#, or similar object-oriented languages.
- Experience delivering products through the full software development lifecycle.
- Experience building and operating large-scale, highly distributed services infrastructure.
- Experience in an operational environment supporting mission-critical tier-one live-site services.
- Experience designing architectures for high availability, scalability, flexibility, and future business demands.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, ownership, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred: hands-on experience maintaining services on AWS, Azure, or Oracle public cloud platforms.
- Preferred: knowledge of Infrastructure as Code languages, especially Terraform.
- Preferred: strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and experience with Kafka, Apache Spark, or other big data technologies.
