Responsibilities
- Define test approaches, test plans, and qualification strategies for assigned tvOS projects and functional areas.
- Develop and execute functional, compatibility, integration, reliability, regression, and interoperability tests across multiple device families.
- Own complete functional areas and expand the team’s test case coverage.
- Detect, report, and track bugs and third-party issues.
- Coordinate testing efforts cross-functionally for complex client and server feature sets.
- Use QA tools, networking tools, and automation techniques.
- Develop automation and explore the use of GenAI in testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong understanding of SQA methodologies and practices.
- Proven bug detection and regression testing skills.
- Experience reporting and tracking bugs and third-party issues.
- Extensive experience using QA tools, networking tools, and automation.
- Excellent written communication skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to organize testing responsibilities and work cross-functionally.
- Preferred experience testing mobile applications, IPTV or other media streaming technologies, audio technologies, and cloud-based client/server technologies.
- Preferred experience with automation test tools and techniques using Perl, PHP, Bash, and Python.
- Understanding of XCTest.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
