Base Salary
$180k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain backend services and React frontend applications for real-time content delivery, monetization, and interactive web and mobile features.
- Build and integrate AI-powered agentic workflows into products and internal tooling using LLMs and emerging AI capabilities.
- Improve SEO strategies, page speed, indexing, and web performance.
- Instrument features, analyze outcomes, and iterate using analytics and experimentation data.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, editors, and other stakeholders on user-centric products and product vision.
- Own engineering work from concept through deployment while contributing to secure, scalable, and high-quality systems.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience with hands-on React.js, Node.js, TypeScript, and RESTful API expertise.
- Experience with Next.js for server-side rendering, content caching, and web performance optimization.
- Hands-on GCP experience, including Cloud Run, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- Strong experience with automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience building AI agents, integrating LLMs, or using agentic patterns such as tool use, RAG, and multi-step workflows.
- Comfort with analytics tooling, A/B testing, and metrics-driven engineering and product decisions.
- Experience with design systems and component libraries.
- Expertise in secure coding, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices.
- Experience with large-scale content platforms or digital media.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and product vision skills.
- Preferred: React Native, Sanity CMS or other headless CMS solutions, Vercel, edge functions, serverless architecture, Core Web Vitals, technical SEO, ad management systems, paywalls, or data analytics tools.
