Responsibilities
- Define and execute the full-stack observability roadmap.
- Own and evolve the observability control plane and telemetry ingestion pipelines.
- Lead a team of six engineers to build scalable observability solutions.
- Establish and maintain SLOs for observability systems to meet uptime targets.
- Partner with the Robinhood Command Center and engineering teams on observability standards.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with large-scale observability initiatives.
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes and public cloud environments, preferably AWS.
- Strong coding proficiency in languages like Go or Python.
- Experience owning an observability control plane or telemetry pipeline in a high-traffic environment.
- Familiarity with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and the Vector data pipeline is a plus.
