Responsibilities
- Architect, design, implement, and document highly available and scalable mission-critical applications.
- Develop new functionality for HireRight’s core backend platform and next-generation services.
- Analyze functional and non-functional technical requirements with engineering, product, business analysis, and quality teams.
- Support applications and collaborate on new feature delivery.
- Make technical decisions, innovate, and foster new ideas.
- Design, develop, and support large-scale distributed systems.
- Work with event-based and asynchronous processing and event-driven systems.
- Use unit and integration test automation.
- Develop with SQL databases and ORM frameworks such as Hibernate.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Java object-oriented programming experience.
- Proven experience working in a multi-tier, distributed architecture environment.
- Strong object-oriented programming and design abilities.
- Experience with JSON and XML.
- Experience using standard software development practices.
- Extensive experience working with SQL databases.
- Understanding of designing, developing, and supporting large-scale systems.
- Exposure to event-based and asynchronous processing and a good understanding of event-driven systems.
- Good knowledge of SQL and hands-on experience with ORM frameworks such as Hibernate.
- Strong problem-solving, innovation, decision-making, communication, and self-organization skills.
