Base Salary

$155k - $233k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop image-processing features for next-generation camera systems.
  • Architect and implement drivers for advanced imaging hardware and ISP systems.
  • Develop low-level embedded software for IoT devices and camera subsystem enablement.
  • Design camera systems optimized for power, memory, silicon area, and imaging performance.
  • Implement image-analysis and image-processing techniques using ARM, DSP, GPU, and ML accelerators.
  • Prototype and validate camera solutions on Qualcomm IoT Dragonwing platforms for proof-of-concept and commercial products.
  • Lead and deliver large IoT camera projects across Linux Embedded and Android platforms.
  • Design, develop, debug, implement, and verify camera software including ISP, 3A algorithms, image-quality systems, and tuning tools.
  • Ensure image quality, conformance, performance, and power requirements are met for commercial readiness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional, globally distributed engineering and business teams and mentor senior engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience; or a master's degree and 5+ years; or a PhD and 4+ years.
  • 3+ years of work experience with a programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
  • 7+ years of experience architecting complex embedded systems or SoC-level software is preferred.
  • Strong background in hardware/software interface design, system architecture, SoC architecture, ARM architecture, Linux kernel internals, and device-driver models is preferred.
  • Experience with camera sensor driver bring-up, Camera HAL development, 3A algorithms, tuning tools, MIPI, GMSL, I2C, and GPIO is preferred.
  • Advanced C and C++ programming and debugging skills are preferred.
  • Deep understanding of Image Signal Processing concepts and experience with Android camera frameworks and Linux V4L2 frameworks are preferred.
  • Background in multimedia software development for Linux-based embedded systems is preferred.
  • Experience leading the full software lifecycle, system bring-up, debugging, and commercialization is preferred.
  • Experience with OpenCL or OpenGL for algorithm development and familiarity with Qualcomm CamX architecture are advantageous.
  • Ability to lead projects, mentor engineers, collaborate across distributed teams, and clearly communicate complex technical topics.
