Responsibilities
- Design, code, document, and maintain services for small to large projects.
- Build and deploy Java and Spring Boot microservices to OpenShift Kubernetes.
- Integrate REST, JDBC, JMS, MQ, Kafka, and other event or messaging technologies.
- Develop reusable APIs and simplify complex business processes for business partners.
- Write and maintain unit, system, and functional tests using JUnit, Mockito, and Cucumber.
- Assist QA with integration, performance, and penetration testing.
- Support production troubleshooting and analyze business and system needs.
- Recommend efficient, secure, reusable designs and technology solutions.
- Contribute to team process improvements and use artificial intelligence in software development and AI-centric product development.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a software development role delivering maintainable, quality solutions.
- Experience with modern Java development and the Spring framework.
- Knowledge of HTTP, REST, XML, JSON, JDBC, MS SQL, SQL, OAuth, and mTLS.
- Experience with software development practices including TDD/BDD, DevOps, code reviews, design patterns, CI/CD, and SRE.
- Financial-services software experience in banking, insurance, or investments is preferred.
- Experience with Jenkins, Urban Code Deploy, and Maven is preferred.
- Knowledge of Kafka, JMS, GraphQL, Ansible, Camunda, and the ELK Stack is preferred.
- Experience with cloud platforms and technologies including OpenShift, Kubernetes, and S3 Object Storage is preferred.
