Base Salary
$147k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Write product or system development code.
- Participate in or lead design reviews and select among available technologies.
- Review peer code and provide feedback on style, correctness, testability, and efficiency.
- Contribute to and update documentation or educational content.
- Triage, debug, track, and resolve product or system issues by analyzing impacts on hardware, networks, services, and quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of experience developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, networks, compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
- Software development experience using C++.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining cloud or distributed-systems infrastructure.
- Experience with database design and optimization for scalability and high availability.
- Experience with the software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, and deployment.
- Preferred: master’s degree or PhD in computer science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
- Preferred: experience with large-scale distributed systems, software lifecycles, developer tools, scalable distributed software, generative AI, generative AI agents, or Google infrastructure.
- Ability to drive change, manage conflict, and ensure policy compliance.
