Responsibilities

  • Define Linux kernel driver validation strategy, release-readiness standards, and qualification criteria.
  • Lead smoke, regression, stress, reliability, and corner-case testing for PCIe kernel drivers.
  • Test interrupt handling, DMA flows, MMIO interactions, and multi-device configurations.
  • Establish performance benchmarks for driver and I/O paths and guide kernel-level profiling and performance analysis.
  • Drive adoption of Linux observability tools including ftrace, systrace, perf, procfs, and sysfs.
  • Ensure memory correctness, leak detection, and resource stability.
  • Design validation frameworks for fault injection and error handling.
  • Debug complex issues across kernel, runtime, and firmware layers.

Requirements

  • 8–12 years of experience in Linux kernel or driver validation or development.
  • Deep experience with the PCIe subsystem, kernel internals, DMA, and memory management.
  • Strong debugging skills using ftrace, perf, crash, gdb, and similar tools.
  • Expertise in C/C++ and kernel-level programming.
  • Preferred experience with kernel profiling, tracing, and performance tuning.
  • Strong familiarity with Linux observability tools including ftrace, systrace, perf, procfs, and sysfs.
  • Experience with high-performance devices such as accelerators, storage, or networking equipment.
  • Exposure to queue-based device models such as NVMe-like architectures.
