Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of Android/Kotlin platform features from conception through deployment.
- Design, build, and secure APIs for large-scale mobile systems.
- Contribute to technical designs, proposals, architectural decisions, and engineering best practices.
- Mentor and coach engineers through code reviews and technical guidance.
- Develop maintainable software with comprehensive test coverage and improve testing and CI/CD strategies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, and QA.
- Create technical documentation and promote knowledge sharing.
- Adopt AI-native engineering practices and AI coding assistants while maintaining security and code quality.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of software development experience, including at least 3 years designing and building scalable Android client-side features with Kotlin.
- Deep experience building secure, high-quality Android applications, including performance optimization and multithreading.
- Extensive experience designing, building, and securing APIs for large-scale mobile systems.
- Expertise in Android frameworks, debugging, and problem-solving across Android OS versions and device types.
- Understanding of design patterns, scalability patterns, security engineering, and object-oriented principles.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence technical direction.
- Proficiency with AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of IAM technologies and protocols such as FIDO, U2F, WebAuthn, SSO, SAML, OAuth, and Federation is preferred.
- Cybersecurity knowledge and certifications such as CISSP or Security+ are preferred.
- Experience building security applications such as VPNs, firewalls, or antivirus software is preferred.
