Responsibilities
- Lead solution discovery, fit-to-standard workshops, and architecture design for the Japan rollout.
- Enhance the global SAP S/4HANA template and apply Japan localization while maintaining core design principles.
- Act as design authority, approve solution deviations, and ensure governance compliance.
- Define and manage integration architecture across SAP and non-SAP systems, including MES, PMC, legacy systems, and third-party tools.
- Provide solution direction and drive build execution through implementation teams.
- Collaborate with Japan business stakeholders, global process owners, and IT leadership.
- Guide teams through blueprint, build, test, cutover, and go-live phases.
- Ensure compliance with Japanese business process, statutory, audit, and control requirements.
- Maintain data consistency and accuracy across integrated SAP modules.
Requirements
- 8-10 years of experience with SAP Financial Accounting and Controlling.
- Strong SAP implementation experience with a background in SAP S/4HANA transformation.
- End-to-end SAP S/4HANA solution architecture and implementation or support experience.
- Strong configuration and support experience in FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR, and FI-AA.
- Understanding of Japanese tax and accounting procedures, month-end and year-end closing, reconciliation, and statutory and financial reporting.
- Strong global template governance and architecture decision-making capability.
- Deep understanding of SAP S/4HANA best practices and the fit-to-standard approach.
- Proven experience on multi-vendor global deployment programs.
- Required experience in large-scale manufacturing or automotive environments.
- Native Japanese language proficiency; comfortable working in English is preferred.
- Experience with Tier-1 or global consulting environments is preferred.
- Experience deploying multiple countries on a single S/4HANA global template and working with Japanese OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers is preferred.
- SAP S/4HANA certification is preferred.
- Experience with discrete manufacturing, supply chain and production planning, quality, logistics, cost management, and Japanese manufacturing standards is valued.
