Responsibilities
- Design and develop modern full-stack applications for Capital Markets using Angular, Node.js, and C# services.
- Build and maintain user interfaces, backend APIs, services, and integrations supporting trading and equity derivatives workflows.
- Work with traders, business stakeholders, and end users to gather feedback, refine requirements, and shape product direction.
- Lead technical design decisions, coordinate development efforts, participate in code reviews, and contribute production-quality code.
- Improve application performance, reliability, scalability, security, maintainability, and platform stability.
- Develop automated unit, integration, and regression tests and improve code coverage within the continuous delivery pipeline.
- Debug and troubleshoot production applications and support enhancements to risk systems and other capital markets capabilities.
- Mentor junior and intermediate developers and promote engineering best practices across the team.
- Develop understanding of capital markets workflows and deliver solutions that provide business value.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software development experience building modern web applications.
- Strong hands-on experience with Angular, Node.js, GraphQL, and modern front-end application architecture.
- Experience building backend services and APIs with C#.
- Experience with relational and document databases such as Oracle and MongoDB.
- Exposure to middleware and messaging technologies such as MQ, Redis Cache, or Kafka.
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders and end users to refine requirements and technical solutions.
- Experience leading development efforts and coordinating work with other developers.
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting production applications.
- Familiarity with code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong communication, collaboration, ownership, and attention to detail.
- Preferred experience in capital markets or front-office trading environments and familiarity with pricing, inventory, positions, P&L, or risk management workflows.
- Preferred experience in investment banking, hedge funds, asset management, trading firms, desktop interoperability, real-time systems, event-driven architecture, or messaging technologies.
- Preferred interest in product design, software craftsmanship, continuous learning, or side projects.
