Responsibilities
- Migrate and modernize Sitecore-backed applications and content to Contentful.
- Develop, refactor, and enhance frontend applications using React and TypeScript.
- Replace Sitecore-specific dependencies and integrations with Contentful-compatible solutions.
- Build content migration tooling, scripts, automated transformation processes, content models, and API integrations.
- Ensure migrated applications preserve functionality, performance, accessibility, and quality.
- Use AI-assisted and spec-driven development for analysis, schema mapping, code transformation, migration automation, and validation.
- Write maintainable, well-tested code and contribute to automated testing and CI/CD.
- Own complex development tasks, identify technical risks, and influence implementation decisions.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, QA, and content teams while mentoring less experienced developers.
Requirements
- Strong commercial software engineering experience, particularly with React and TypeScript.
- Experience migrating, modernizing, or refactoring existing frontend applications.
- Practical experience with headless CMS platforms, preferably Contentful, and an understanding of Sitecore.
- Strong understanding of APIs, integration patterns, and content modeling.
- Experience with backend development, migration scripting, or data transformation.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools and understanding of spec-driven development approaches.
- Experience with automated testing and modern engineering practices.
- Ability to work independently, solve complex problems, and influence technical implementation decisions.
- Direct Sitecore-to-Contentful migration experience, Next.js, Sitecore JSS, CMS/DXP replatforming, AI-assisted migration applications, or multilingual and multisite platform experience are desirable.
