Base Salary
$228k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and ownership of frontend and platform architecture, data ingestion, and normalization for scalable search and transaction experiences.
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of complex technical projects across the stack.
- Define reliability KPIs, improve service health, and reduce technical debt, manual toil, and infrastructure costs.
- Integrate AI, data pipelines, and telemetry systems to automate workflows and improve engineering efficiency.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver customer-focused transaction management features.
- Recruit, mentor, and inspire fellow engineers while providing technical leadership across teams.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of experience developing comprehensive, well-tested, high-performance software applications using TypeScript, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS.
- 5+ years of experience with React and NodeJS.
- 3+ years of experience using AWS or other cloud technologies.
- Demonstrated technical leadership with cross-team impact and strong software architecture and development best practices.
- Strong familiarity with continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines, containerization, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, technical empathy, attention to detail, and product design judgment.
- Backend programming experience with Java, Golang, or Python is preferred.
- Experience with Kafka, event-driven systems, gRPC, Thrift, and other server-to-server communication protocols is preferred.
