Responsibilities
- Build reusable, responsive, and WCAG-accessible components for Five9’s design system and web applications.
- Translate Figma designs into production-ready component code aligned with design specifications.
- Maintain the design token system, bootloader, and Codemods in collaboration with frontend developers and designers.
- Improve the React component library through modern frontend packages, patterns, and engineering practices.
- Implement CI/CD workflows, unit tests, integration tests, and visual regression testing.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, UI architects, and frontend developers to build and improve product experiences.
- Establish frontend standards, best practices, engineering guidelines, and scalable architecture.
- Drive architectural discussions and influence technical direction across frontend initiatives.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, planning, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and tools for the frontend ecosystem.
Requirements
- 7–10 years of frontend development experience with modern web technologies.
- Strong expertise in React and TypeScript.
- Strong proficiency in semantic HTML, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience building and maintaining component libraries, design systems, and design tokens.
- Strong expertise in Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
- Experience with frontend tooling and migration frameworks, preferably Vite and Codemods.
- Experience with React Testing Library, Cypress, Enzyme, and Chromatic.
- Experience collaborating with design teams using Figma.
- Strong understanding of frontend architecture, application performance optimization, scalable UI patterns, and modern frontend application design.
- Excellent English communication skills and a proactive, collaborative approach.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
- Preferred experience with Tokens Studio, Style Dictionary, Storybook, Rollup, CORS, CDNs, i18n, JIRA, Confluence, and end-to-end testing practices.
- Exposure to backend technologies and API-driven architectures is preferred.
- Comfort using agentic coding tools and AI-assisted development environments.
