Responsibilities
- Act as a technical Shopify expert for partners implementing Shopify or integrating it with existing commerce technology stacks.
- Deliver tailored technical training, onboarding, and consultations to selected partners.
- Run office hours, webinars, lunch and learns, and other scalable partner enablement programs.
- Synthesize partner feedback and communicate recurring technical pain points to Shopify product and R&D teams.
- Develop technical guides, best practices, and implementation playbooks.
- Represent Shopify at partner events and mentor partner-facing teams on technical platform topics.
- Align with product and R&D teams on the Shopify roadmap and released features.
Requirements
- Experience in ecommerce, digital agencies, solutions engineering, implementation consulting, or similar technical pre- or post-sales work.
- Enterprise experience involving governance, stakeholder management, and change management.
- Deep expertise in the Shopify platform, its application ecosystem, and integrations.
- Strong REST and GraphQL API knowledge for enterprise integrations.
- Experience working with technical and executive-level audiences and managing cross-functional stakeholders.
- Ability to interpret complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Understanding of cloud-based technologies and SaaS fundamentals.
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Daily use of AI as a thought partner, researcher, and productivity tool, with an ongoing learning mindset.
- Ability to operate amid ambiguity and prioritize competing demands.
- Confidence operating at an executive level with strong video presence.
- Bonus: experience scaling partner enablement programs, Shopify app design or theme development, headless or composable commerce, B2B, ERP integrations, omnichannel commerce, version control systems such as GitHub, or partnerships and commercial work at a SaaS company.
