Base Salary
$136k - $223k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead requirements analysis, architecture design, and development of scalable, resilient, secure, reliable, and cost-optimized software solutions.
- Design and develop next-generation Java clearing applications within established architecture and Agile frameworks.
- Analyze requirements, write and review code, create unit and integration tests, document software, and maintain quality standards.
- Apply code reviews, risk analysis, performance requirements, audit requirements, security rules, and external reporting standards.
- Support production systems by advising on functionality and providing fixes as needed.
- Mentor developers, assist with departmental and new-employee training, and collaborate with architects, product owners, business analysts, and cross-functional teams.
- Communicate software defects and delays and contribute to strategic enterprise data-transformation initiatives.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building large-scale compute and event-driven solutions.
- Required experience with Java 8+, including Java internal workings, object-oriented design, advanced patterns such as AOP, and multithreading.
- Experience with cloud technologies and migrations and databases including relational, NoSQL, object-based, and graph databases.
- Required experience following Git workflows and achieving at least 90% unit and integration test coverage.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field required; master's degree preferred.
- Experience with distributed message brokers, high-speed distributed computing frameworks, testing frameworks, DevOps tools, and monitoring tools is desirable or a plus.
- Preferred or additional qualifications include experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, Amazon Kinesis, Apache Spark, Kafka Streams, Apache Flink, JUnit, Citrus, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Helm, Splunk, Elasticsearch, Prometheus, and AppDynamics.
- OCP Java SE 8 Programmer and AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certifications are a plus.
