Base Salary
$155k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and own the technical roadmap for complex AI platform initiatives and drive semi-annual and annual milestones.
- Architect and implement production-grade LLM orchestration systems involving agent frameworks, tool calling, and multi-step reasoning workflows.
- Design MCP integrations and knowledge management systems, including tool orchestration, embedding strategies, and context optimization.
- Lead technical design for cross-functional AI features and make architectural decisions under ambiguity.
- Establish coding standards, review practices, and architectural patterns for AI development.
- Coach and mentor P3 engineers and help elevate team technical practices.
- Partner with product teams to translate ambiguous business needs into technical solutions aligned with company strategy.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support and critical issue resolution.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience with demonstrated progression into technical leadership.
- Deep proficiency in Python and experience architecting production backend systems; Django is strongly preferred.
- Strong React and TypeScript frontend development skills, including complex state management.
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs and orchestration systems, including agent workflows, tool calling, and multi-step reasoning.
- Experience designing and implementing MCP integrations, tool servers, embedding models, and context management strategies.
- Experience defining technical roadmaps and leading projects from conception through delivery.
- Experience mentoring engineers and improving technical practices.
- Ability to make decisions under ambiguity and communicate technical trade-offs to stakeholders.
- Curiosity and continuous learning in AI and LLM technologies.
- Preferred experience includes internal developer platforms, SDKs, shared AI/ML infrastructure, LangChain, LangGraph, agent architectures, prompt optimization, evaluation frameworks, LLM observability, enterprise AI features, B2B SaaS, sales performance or financial software, and AI/ML open-source contributions or technical publications.
