Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and support reliable enterprise application components.
- Develop server-side services, enterprise integrations, Java-based microservices, and Angular user experiences.
- Build and enhance data pipelines, analytics infrastructure, cloud data capabilities, and data visualizations.
- Modernize financial research platforms and deliver cloud-ready applications.
- Collaborate with business partners, architects, and engineers to evaluate technical challenges and make implementation decisions.
- Apply software quality, security, testing, production-support, and data migration practices.
- Review technical designs with architects and mentor junior developers.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of hands-on enterprise application development experience.
- Advanced degree in computer science or financial engineering with strong programming skills.
- Experience developing server-side services and applying enterprise integration patterns.
- Ability to design, test, deploy, maintain, and support reliable application components.
- Preferred full-stack experience with Java, Spring-based services, and Angular.
- Preferred experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry or a similar cloud platform, microservices, Kafka or RabbitMQ, and event-driven or messaging technologies.
- Preferred data science or data-platform engineering experience using Python, R, or MATLAB.
- Preferred experience with SQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Hadoop, data migration, or data-pipeline implementation.
- Preferred experience building data visualizations with Python and Plotly Dash.
- Working knowledge of GitHub, Bamboo, containerization, orchestration, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
- Understanding of software design patterns, behavior-driven development, and test-driven development.
- Experience reviewing technical designs and mentoring junior developers, plus collaboration, communication, adaptability, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
