Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, test, debug, and implement new software applications and significant enhancements.
- Lead design and coding sessions, develop solutions, and resolve technical and design conflicts.
- Conduct complex business-process, system-requirements, and information-systems analyses.
- Coordinate with business analysts and users to determine requirements and align technology solutions with business initiatives.
- Lead or participate in complex projects involving multiple disciplines and potentially multiple areas of the business.
- Communicate technical processes and strategic software-development direction to technical and nontechnical audiences, including senior leadership and executives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience as a Principal Engineer, Software Engineer, Software Developer, or in a related position.
- At least 10 years of technical experience in areas including software development life cycles, systems development and implementation, QA testing, system design and analysis, enterprise coding standards, complex coding, and code reviews.
- At least five years of experience with cloud technologies, databases, NoSQL databases, Python and Java, service-oriented, microservices, and event-driven design patterns, complex cloud-based software projects, web application development, security, open-source technologies, and Agile development methodologies.
- Technical experience with business knowledge and concepts in route logistics.
