Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end software quality assurance lifecycle, including test strategy, planning, execution, reporting, and defect resolution.
- Lead and coordinate a team of quality engineers across multidisciplinary planning and ecosystem integration.
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks and suites for UI, API, data, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Develop automated tests for Java and Spring Boot services and REST APIs, including integration and end-to-end tests.
- Contribute to Java feature development, bug fixing, and code reviews when required.
- Create test strategies, test plans, functional use cases, test data, and test documentation based on business and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, data engineers, and developers to define effective test scenarios.
- Validate data flows, transformations, and interfaces involving Databricks, Azure Data Factory, DVP, and REST APIs.
- Implement or enhance intelligent testing solutions such as smart test selection, self-healing tests, and ML-based test analytics.
- Define and monitor quality metrics for test execution, defect management, and testing process effectiveness.
- Identify quality risks, defects, and process improvements and drive their resolution.
- Maintain testing and technical documentation and support continuous improvement across the application lifecycle.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience is required; the posting also specifies 4+ years of hands-on software engineering and software testing experience.
- Strong Java development skills, ideally with Spring Boot, microservices, and REST APIs.
- Experience with manual and automated testing across unit, integration, system, and end-to-end functional testing.
- Experience designing and implementing test automation frameworks using tools such as JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber/BDD, Robot Framework, or PyTest.
- Experience with Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright and API and integration testing.
- Python development experience is a plus.
- Experience with data-centric and integration testing involving Databricks, Azure Data Factory, DVP, and REST APIs is preferred.
- Familiarity with AI-driven or intelligent test automation, including ML-based test selection, self-healing locators, and test analytics, is a strong plus.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.
- Hands-on experience with Azure GitLab, Azure GitLab CI/CD, UBS Deploy or similar tools, GitLab, and Squash or similar defect-tracking and test-management tools.
- Ability to translate business requirements into test strategies, test plans, and functional use cases.
- Strong documentation, communication, collaboration, ownership, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Understanding of the HR domain is an advantage.
- Completion of 15 years of full-time education is required.
