Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and own core features across Discovery’s backend services.
- Collaborate with Product, TSE, and DevOps on design and architecture decisions.
- Work on the audience-activation layer connecting audience data to targeting systems.
- Participate in refactoring system components and modernizing the tech stack.
- Lead and mentor other developers on complex, cross-service projects.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in developing complex enterprise web applications.
- Deep understanding of Java programming, specifically Spring Boot/Spring.
- Experience designing and implementing web system architectures.
- Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases like MySQL and Elasticsearch.
- Experience with modern UI frameworks such as Angular, Vue, or React is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and a strong team player attitude.
- BSc in Computer Science or equivalent.
