Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and take full ownership of core backend features across audience targeting, keyword-association search, and the core management API.
- Own the entire development cycle for backend services.
- Collaborate with Product, TSE, and DevOps on design and architecture decisions.
- Develop the audience-activation layer connecting audience data with downstream TV, streaming, and commercial viewership targeting systems.
- Refactor and modernize system components to improve performance and stability.
- Lead and mentor developers on complex cross-service projects.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience developing complex enterprise web applications and distributed systems in production.
- Deep Java programming experience with Spring Boot and Spring.
- Experience designing and implementing web-system architectures.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases including MySQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, and Vertica.
- Experience with modern UI frameworks such as Angular, Vue, or React is advantageous.
- Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, independent working, multitasking, and communication skills.
- BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Ruby expertise with Sinatra- or Rails-style frameworks and ActiveRecord is a nice-to-have.
- Experience designing GraphQL APIs is a nice-to-have.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS is a nice-to-have.
