Responsibilities
- Define overall solution architecture for CRM initiatives, including integrations with internal RBC applications and SaaS platforms.
- Address data management, application performance, security, and integration complexities across on-premise, cloud, and SaaS environments.
- Recommend products and solutions and produce architecture sketches, design documentation, and evolving architecture blueprints.
- Advise development teams on constructing and maintaining robust, integrated, secure, and efficient applications.
- Lead complex meetings with business and technology partners for technical design, decision-making, problem-solving, implementation, and strategic planning.
- Provide technical leadership, design guidance, coaching, and development support to more junior staff.
Requirements
- Require 7–10 years of relevant IT experience, including at least five years of architecture or design experience on large programs or projects.
- Require advanced knowledge of architecture, application development, systems design, integration, data management, and on-premise, cloud, and SaaS platforms.
- Require knowledge of architecture and design techniques including SOA, microservices, REST, SOAP, event-driven architecture, orchestration, choreography, and data pipelines.
- Require experience with technologies and platforms such as Kafka, WebSphere MQ/IIB, OpenShift, RDBMS, and NoSQL.
- Require experience designing resilient enterprise applications using on-premise and cloud computing platforms.
- Require knowledge of web application architecture patterns and security patterns including OAuth, SSO, and SAML.
- Require experience integrating legacy applications and the ability to build effective partnerships across architecture, application development, technology operations, infrastructure, and business groups.
- Preferred qualifications include Salesforce Financial Services Cloud experience, Agile team experience, financial services experience, coaching ability, and strong analytical, consultative, communication, and facilitation skills.
