Responsibilities
- Design, build, optimize, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for microservices across build, test, security scan, packaging, and deployment stages.
- Manage Docker and Kubernetes deployments and clusters across Linux, Windows Server, on-premises, cloud, hybrid edge-cloud, and air-gapped environments.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code and automation using Terraform, Ansible, Bash, Python, YAML, and JSON.
- Engineer multi-cloud deployment automation for AWS, GCP, and Azure, including EKS, GKE, AKS, multi-region configuration, and automated rollback strategies.
- Manage software releases, versioning, release tagging, changelogs, artifact storage, deployment runbooks, release notes, and rollback procedures.
- Integrate SAST, DAST, container scanning, dependency checks, SBOM generation, license compliance, secrets management, TLS/PKI automation, and software supply chain controls.
- Deploy and operate logging, metrics, tracing, monitoring, dashboards, alerting, and on-call integrations using ELK/Loki, Prometheus/Grafana, and Jaeger/Zipkin.
- Drive reliability engineering for high-availability platform SLA targets and create infrastructure self-healing automation.
- Guide development teams on DevOps, containerization, pipeline design, and delivery practices while collaborating with architects, developers, QA, and product management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
- At least 5 years of production Linux system administration using Ubuntu, RHEL, or CentOS.
- At least 5 years of production Docker and Kubernetes container orchestration experience.
- At least 5 years of CI/CD pipeline management, preferably with GitLab CI/CD.
- At least 5 years of cloud platform deployment experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Proven experience delivering end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for microservices architectures.
- Strong Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent.
- Experience integrating security and compliance tooling into DevOps workflows.
- Advanced Bash and Python scripting skills, with familiarity with Go for microservices platform work.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, RBAC, autoscaling, service mesh, GitOps, artifact management, observability, and distributed systems.
- Cloud, Kubernetes, DevOps, or related certifications such as AWS DevOps Engineer, Google Professional DevOps, Azure DevOps Expert, CKA, or CKAD are preferred.
- Experience with ArgoCD or Flux, chaos engineering, time-series databases, Kafka or NATS, edge-node provisioning, or Internal Developer Platform tooling is preferred.
