Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Go microservices for RAN device configuration, fault management, and network optimization.
- Build protocol adapters between internal data models and device-facing protocols.
- Design MongoDB schemas, data-access objects, indexes, aggregations, change streams, and queries for a sharded production cluster.
- Develop Kafka-based event-driven flows for faults, cell-state changes, and configuration propagation.
- Ensure services are highly available, multi-replica safe, stateless where possible, and equipped with graceful shutdown and concurrency controls.
- Write unit tests, participate in code reviews, and uphold security, performance, and error-handling standards.
- Debug production issues using logs, metrics, and distributed tracing.
- Use AI tools for design, coding, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting while validating that output is production-ready.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software development experience, including 3+ years of production Go experience.
- Strong knowledge of Go idioms, including goroutines, channels, context propagation, interfaces, composition, and error handling.
- Solid MongoDB or comparable NoSQL experience involving schema design, indexing, aggregation pipelines, replica sets, and sharding.
- Hands-on Kafka or comparable messaging-system experience in event-driven architectures.
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs in distributed microservice systems.
- Strong understanding of concurrency, high availability, and multi-replica deployment concerns such as shared state, locking, and idempotency.
- Working knowledge of AI-assisted development tools and sound judgment when validating AI-generated code and other output.
- Preferred qualifications include telecom experience with RAN, EMS/NMS, O-RAN, Near-RT RIC, SMO, 4G/5G, and familiarity with TR-069/CWMP, NETCONF/YANG, SNMP, O1, 3GPP, and OAM/FCAPS.
