Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of Java-based applications and microservices.
- Contribute to high-level architecture and design decisions, including evaluation and improvement of architectural patterns.
- Maintain and enhance existing codebases for high performance and scalability.
- Conduct and lead code reviews to ensure coding standards and best practices.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance and support.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and other teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Ensure solutions meet scalability, resilience, performance, security, and other non-functional requirements.
- Oversee DevOps practices, deployment strategies, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Build and deploy production microservices and integrate event streaming with microservices.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, and Java 8+ features.
- Expertise building RESTful APIs with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, dependency injection, and application configuration.
- Experience implementing modular architecture and evaluating architectural patterns.
- Experience building and deploying microservices in production, including familiarity with Saga, Circuit Breaker, distributed tracing, security, auditing, logging, and exception handling.
- Practical experience with Kafka or Azure Event Hubs, including pub/sub models, consumer groups, and partitioning.
- Experience with Azure services such as AKS, Helm, and Azure Event Hubs, plus cloud-native application deployment practices.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and containerization.
- Strong problem-solving ability, architectural decision-making skills, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Exposure to reactive programming is a plus.
