Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of scalable automation frameworks for web and API testing.
- Develop and review automation scripts using Selenium with Java.
- Lead API automation initiatives using Karate and ReadyAPI/SoapUI.
- Define and drive automation strategy across projects to improve quality and automation coverage.
- Review automation code and enforce coding standards, best practices, and framework guidelines.
- Mentor and guide junior automation engineers through technical reviews and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, product owners, and client stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
- Lead automation planning, estimation, execution, and delivery for multiple releases.
- Drive automation integration with GitHub Actions and Jenkins to support continuous integration.
- Analyze automation execution results, lead defect triage, and perform root-cause analysis.
- Provide automation status, quality metrics, and risk updates to stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvements in automation frameworks, processes, and engineering practices.
- Support browser compatibility testing using SauceLabs and Perfecto.
- Participate in sprint planning, release planning, technical discussions, and quality reviews.
Requirements
- 9–12 years of Quality Engineering experience.
- Experienced Senior SDET or Senior Automation Test Engineer with strong technical leadership capabilities.
- Deep expertise in Selenium with Java and API automation.
- Experience with Karate and ReadyAPI/SoapUI for API automation.
- Experience owning automation frameworks, mentoring engineers, and managing stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, CIS, or a related field.
