Responsibilities
- Design, develop, configure, implement, and support APIs, microservices, PaaS solutions, related services, applications, and integrations.
- Lead technical design discussions, architecture and code reviews, complex troubleshooting, and resolution of application and configuration issues.
- Architect cloud services across storage, security, networking, and compute capabilities.
- Own application production support, deployment, monitoring, performance analysis, approved changes, and continual service improvement.
- Build automation and support tools to reduce or eliminate repetitive support activities.
- Lead mission-critical applications and platforms while maintaining availability, security, performance, and stability.
- Mentor less experienced engineers and collaborate with architects, product teams, security, DevSecOps, infrastructure, QA, vendors, and other engineering teams.
- Lead project or program work and influence technical decisions across organizational facilities and levels.
Requirements
- Bachelor ’s degree or equivalent working knowledge.
- Eight to twelve years of experience developing enterprise applications.
- Strong knowledge of programming and cloud technology.
- Experience with medium-scale project planning and mentoring less experienced team members.
- Strong communication and presentation skills for explaining complex technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to influence and interact across facilities and at various organizational levels.
- Preferred: cloud platform certifications AZ-301, AZ-400, and AZ-500.
- Preferred: significant development and operations or engineering experience solving complex problems.
- Preferred: three to four years of experience implementing enterprise cloud solutions.
- Preferred: strong working knowledge of Java, C++, C#, .NET Core, hardware environments, and program logic.
- Additional related education and/or experience is preferred.
- Variable shifts, hours, and pager response may be required.
