Responsibilities
- Deliver large projects and new product capabilities while maintaining key code repositories.
- Break down complex technical problems, resolve incident root causes, and support production systems in an owner-operator DevOps culture.
- Roadmap and execute technical strategies while balancing short-term and long-term trade-offs.
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pairing, and onboarding support.
- Build AI-powered clinical agents with LangGraph.js and NestJS using stateful multi-node workflows.
- Integrate LangSmith for prompt management, tracing, golden-dataset evaluations, and CI-gated quality checks.
- Develop LLM-based agentic workflows using Claude Sonnet through AWS Bedrock.
- Contribute to the Member-Centric Knowledge Graph and RAG-based retrieval systems.
- Implement feature-flagged growth infrastructure changes and connect ML predictions to Segment custom events and Iterable campaign activation.
- Provision Segment Reverse ETL models, destinations, alerts, and SQL permissions with Terraform.
- Create dbt and SQL data models using CTEs, deduplication, and multi-source joins.
- Build Databricks PySpark and Spark Streaming jobs using Change Data Capture, checkpoint-based fault tolerance, and incremental state management.
- Implement data quality monitoring, observability, lineage, and alerting for dbt models, Databricks pipelines, and event consumers using Datadog, Metaplane, and PagerDuty.
- Improve maintainability, availability, performance, architecture, and developer tooling while documenting technical solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of non-internship, full-time professional software development experience.
- At least 3 years of experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Experience delivering large software projects or production features.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience building LLM applications, including prompt engineering, model integration, and AI output evaluation.
- Experience with agentic AI frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, or similar orchestration libraries.
- Familiarity with LangSmith or equivalent AI observability and evaluation platforms.
- Understanding of responsible AI practices, PHI/PII handling, guardrails, and output validation in healthcare or regulated environments.
- Experience using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
- Preferred experience with AI-assisted software design and coding, mentoring or onboarding junior engineers, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, scalable architectures, healthcare technology, and Agile development practices.
- Preferred experience building multi-agent orchestration systems with Temporal, LangGraph, or similar frameworks for durable human-in-the-loop workflows.
