Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and lead manufacturing software for production-line testing, component calibration, firmware flashing, and software verification support.
- Develop C#/C++ applications that interface with diagnostic instruments and test equipment to automate complex test and calibration sequences.
- Design systems to collect, store, and retrieve secure manufacturing data for electronic Device History Records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with R&D hardware and firmware engineers, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality Assurance on instrument requirements, production workflows, and software validation.
- Use historical manufacturing data to develop AI tools for predicting module or instrument failures and optimizing calibration processes.
- Travel as required and collaborate with global internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of software development experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 8+ years of experience with a master’s degree, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Expert-level proficiency in an object-oriented language such as C#, C++, Java, or Python.
- Deep knowledge of WPF and strong experience with TCP/IP, CAN, UDP, and other network interfaces.
- Experience designing software that interfaces with and controls physical hardware and test equipment.
- Strong database design and SQL data-management experience for production environments.
- Strong experience in cloud program development and AWS Lambda APIs.
- Experience working in a regulated industry such as diagnostics, medical devices, aerospace, or automotive.
- Preferred experience developing software under a diagnostic or medical-device quality management system, including ISO 13485.
- Preferred familiarity with software-validation requirements in an FDA-regulated environment.
