Responsibilities
- Explain Snowflake Postgres capabilities, strategic advantages, technical applications, and competitive differences to prospective customers.
- Identify customer success metrics and reconcile Snowflake methodologies with customer-specific transactional requirements.
- Address client objections and concerns with comprehensive technical resolutions.
- Develop and deliver customized demonstrations for transactional use cases.
- Explain security, privacy, and governance considerations for transactional workloads.
- Act as the principal technical authority for Snowflake Postgres capabilities with customer technical stakeholders across the Americas.
- Collaborate with account teams and customer advocates to define and execute proofs of concept with measurable technical outcomes.
- Prepare executive summaries and business value assessments for proofs of concept.
- Create organizational enablement content, including blog articles, conference presentations, notebooks, and demonstrations.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of Postgres architecture experience.
- Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
- Knowledge of and experience with OLTP database technologies such as Snowflake, Postgres, Oracle, and SQL Server.
- Knowledge of indexing strategies for transactional workloads.
- Strong presentation skills for technical and executive audiences, including whiteboarding sessions, formal readouts, and demonstrations.
- Previous leadership experience is a bonus.
- Previous Field CTO experience is a bonus.
- Practical database migration experience is a bonus.
- At least 1 year of practical Snowflake experience is a bonus.
