Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, and support Ignition-based EMS/SCADA platforms for utility-scale BESS projects.
  • Configure Ignition gateways, tags, UDTs, alarms, historians, and visualization components.
  • Integrate EMS with Siemens PLCs, PCS, BMS, meters, protection relays, and site networks.
  • Support EMS bring-up, system integration testing, FATs, SAT, commissioning, and early operational support.
  • Troubleshoot EMS, data, and communications issues during commissioning timelines.
  • Support data acquisition, control workflows, and site-level dashboards for commissioning and operations.
  • Collaborate with Controls Engineers, Network Engineers, Deployment Engineers, and field commissioning teams.
  • Develop standardized EMS templates, screen sets, tag models, and deployment procedures.
  • Review and validate EMS documentation, configurations, and as-built deliverables.
  • Support handover to Service and Operations teams and travel to project sites as required.

Requirements

  • Direct, hands-on experience deploying and supporting Ignition by Inductive Automation in OT or industrial environments.
  • Experience configuring Ignition tags, UDTs, alarms, historians, and visualizations.
  • Experience integrating EMS/SCADA platforms with PLCs and field devices.
  • Strong understanding of OT systems and industrial communications.
  • Ability to troubleshoot across EMS, controls, and networking boundaries.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to project sites approximately 30–40% as needed.
  • Preferred experience with utility-scale BESS, renewables, power generation, or substation environments.
  • Preferred familiarity with Siemens PLCs, Modbus TCP, and IEC 61850.
  • Preferred experience supporting commissioning teams on live sites and working with EPCs, OEMs, and customer stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of OT cybersecurity fundamentals is preferred.
