Responsibilities
- Build and evolve core banking services for ledger operations, transactions, and a unified global transaction history platform.
- Design and operate resilient distributed systems that handle high transaction volumes across diverse regulated markets.
- Modernize existing systems through improved observability, test coverage, refactoring, and incremental architectural improvements.
- Make architectural decisions and build scalable ledger and transaction history systems from the ground up.
- Collaborate with Risk, Treasury, Finance, Infrastructure, and regional teams to support compliant and reliable operations.
- Own services from design through production, including monitoring performance and continuously improving delivery quality.
Requirements
- Solid backend experience building reliable, high-volume services with strong system design, API, data modeling, and service-integration skills.
- Proficiency in Golang and willingness to learn or work with languages such as Kotlin or Elixir.
- Ability to write maintainable, well-tested code and take ownership from development through production.
- Experience building, deploying, and running services in cloud environments such as AWS using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Interest in relational databases, data consistency, and reliable financial services.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working across regions and making thoughtful technical decisions.
- Preferred experience includes Elixir, PostgreSQL performance tuning, complex queries, schema design, event streaming platforms such as Kafka, and observability tools such as Grafana or Honeycomb.
