Responsibilities
- Execute software design, development, troubleshooting, code review, and debugging for secure, high-quality production systems.
- Lead adoption of approved AI-assisted engineering practices, including AI-assisted coding, code review, testing, refactoring, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Establish validation standards for AI-generated outputs covering correctness, performance, security, secure coding, peer review, and automated testing.
- Apply software development lifecycle tools and automation to improve delivery value and operational stability.
- Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate recurring application and system remediation issues.
- Lead evaluations with vendors, startups, and internal teams concerning architectural designs, technical credentials, and system applicability.
- Lead design reviews, mentor engineers, and drive cross-team technical alignment.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 5 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- At least 5 years of experience delivering production systems end to end.
- Deep expertise in Java 8+, Spring Boot, microservices, and React or Angular.
- Strong Kafka and event-driven architecture experience, including retries, idempotency, dead-letter queue patterns, and schema versioning.
- Strong NoSQL experience with Cassandra, DynamoDB, or Elasticsearch, including data modeling, reliability, and scale.
- Strong experience with Cloud Foundry, AWS, and CI/CD strategy and execution.
- Experience leading the safe, secure, and compliant use of AI-assisted software development tools and coaching engineers on responsible AI practices.
- Demonstrated leadership in design reviews, mentoring, and cross-team technical alignment.
