Responsibilities

Develop and ship full-stack product pages, components, and platform features.
Contribute to architecture, code reviews, system design, and end-to-end project delivery.
Support the Melbourne office as its senior technical contributor by answering questions and unblocking teammates.
Experiment with AI development tools and share effective practices with the engineering team.
Maintain technical documentation and cover Australian business hours for reliability.
Collaborate regularly with the Europe-based development team outside standard Australian business hours.

5+ years of senior software development experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
Strong full-stack development skills and experience building secure, scalable, and performant systems.
Deep system design knowledge, including trade-offs for high concurrency and large data loads.
Comfort working with AI tools such as Claude Code.
Product mindset, stakeholder communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
Based in Melbourne and able to work from the office three days per week.
Interest in games and game servers, with familiarity with server-side systems.
Preferred qualifications include cloud infrastructure or game server orchestration experience, technical team leadership, Linux, networking, bare-metal systems, gaming industry familiarity, and experience with Shockbyte’s technology stack.
