Responsibilities
- Lead ML platform architecture and technical decisions covering scalability, performance, reliability, and distributed systems.
- Build ML platform services for training and compute, feature stores, model registries, inference, and data pipelines.
- Design MLOps workflows for experiment tracking, data and model versioning, CI/CD, retraining, validation, deployment, and lifecycle management.
- Implement monitoring for model performance, data quality, drift detection, and inference reliability.
- Build cloud-based ML infrastructure using Azure, AWS, or GCP; Kubernetes; containers; and Terraform.
- Develop scalable batch and streaming data pipelines and integrate emerging ML platform technologies.
- Embed security, compliance, responsible AI, governance, and cost optimization practices into platform operations.
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineering, security, compliance, and product teams to enable production ML adoption.
- Provide technical mentorship and contribute to engineering standards, documentation, and platform improvements.
Requirements
- 5 or more years of experience is preferred.
- A four-year bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Experience with cloud technologies, machine learning, Terraform, DevOps, and CI/CD is preferred.
- Experience with AWS, GCP Dataflow, Microsoft Azure, and ML platform engineering is listed among the primary skills.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of the stated education requirements.
