Responsibilities
- Lead system design and architecture for complex distributed platforms using microservices, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native platforms.
- Perform rapid technical assessments of tools, patterns, and solution options.
- Write code and build rapid proof-of-concepts to validate technical ideas and feasibility.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors, external partners, engineering, and product teams on technical evaluations and integration approaches.
- Translate high-level concepts into practical technical solutions and identify risks, tradeoffs, and implementation considerations.
- Communicate technical findings and recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.
- Champion AI-assisted engineering tools to improve developer productivity and delivery quality.
- Coach and mentor engineers on system design, code quality, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated experience in large-scale distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience performing technical assessments, evaluating solution options, and writing code to validate feasibility.
- Experience collaborating with third-party vendors and external partners on technical fit, integrations, and proof-of-concepts.
- Deep hands-on expertise with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and microservices architectures.
- Strong experience designing and deploying cloud-native applications on AWS, including ECS, Fargate, IAM, and VPC.
- Experience designing and operating event-driven architectures for pricing, incentives, and credit workflows.
- Understanding of observability and operational excellence using tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace.
- Good frontend and data experience for independently building quick prototypes.
- AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional certification is a bonus.
- Automotive or financial-services ecosystem experience, especially with dealer-centric platforms, is a bonus.
- Familiarity with Amazon Bedrock or AI/ML integrations is a bonus.
- Experience driving platform modernization or large-scale system transformations is a bonus.
