Responsibilities
- Turn product ideas and goals into production-ready solutions for Squla.
- Use coding agents to delegate implementation, explore solutions, and review generated code with strong engineering judgment.
- Develop backend systems and contribute to frontend, data, and infrastructure work when needed.
- Ensure services are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
- Collaborate with product, design, education, and marketing colleagues to shape solutions.
- Own team outcomes by measuring learning and business impact and iterating on shipped work.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and improve AI-assisted engineering practices.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience building and shipping production software.
- Strong Python experience and an interest in scalable, secure, and maintainable systems.
- Practical experience using coding agents beyond autocomplete and reviewing their output critically.
- Ability to work from goals and ambiguity rather than fully specified tickets.
- Willingness to work with React, data, or infrastructure beyond backend development.
- Solid understanding of relational databases such as MySQL.
- Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms is a strong plus.
- Collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn from and support teammates.
