Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex customer issues involving the Databricks Platform by analyzing component metrics and logs.
- Provide performance recommendations, best-practice guidance, and product improvement feedback for customer environments.
- Create detailed troubleshooting guides and runbooks for the support team.
- Contribute to automation and tooling initiatives that streamline troubleshooting.
- Partner with engineering on upcoming features and releases.
- Identify and contribute supportability features to the product.
- Coordinate with engineering and escalation teams to resolve customer issues and requests.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of industry experience.
- Experience supporting applications based on Java, Scala, or Python.
- Expertise in scripting with Python or Shell.
- Comfort with black-box troubleshooting.
- Experience troubleshooting distributed big data computing environments.
- Experience with SQL-based database systems.
- Experience with Linux and network troubleshooting.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Participation in weekend and weekday on-call rotations is required.
