Base Salary
$180k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and extend the core ledger, including accounts, postings, and account-type and ledger structures.
- Own the chart of accounts and reporting surfaces connecting engineering data to financial statements and downstream reporting.
- Build mechanisms for balance verification, reconciliation, and proof-of-reserve-style workflows across on-chain and off-chain data.
- Partner with engineering, Finance, Data Engineering, and Product teams to ensure new features model legal entity ownership, pricing, ledger placement, and reconciliation paths correctly.
- Design extensible data models for margin, lending, staking, tokenized assets, and other financial products.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend software engineering experience with ownership of data-model design for correctness-critical systems.
- Working knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, chart-of-accounts design, financial statements, reconciliation, and audit requirements.
- Strong system-design skills, including extensible schemas and APIs.
- Ability to read and critique technical designs across multiple systems.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills.
- Preferred: experience with crypto or blockchain infrastructure, on-chain balance models, custody, wallet architecture, event-driven or Kafka-based service architectures, or embedded accounting architecture and financial-systems design reviews.
