Software Engineer III - Java, Python, AWS
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Execute software design, development, technical troubleshooting, and critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas.
- Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that integrate with appropriate systems.
- Use and critically validate enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.
- Apply software development lifecycle tools and automation capabilities to improve engineering productivity.
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure design constraints are reflected in the code.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets and develop visualizations and reporting to improve software applications and systems.
- Identify patterns and hidden problems in data and use findings to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Guide peers on safe and effective AI-assisted engineering practices.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to evaluate, validate, and refine generated outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Hands-on experience with Core Java, Spring Framework, AWS services, Python, CloudTrail, Terraform, and CloudWatch.
- Experience designing and building scalable services using design patterns and microservices architecture.
- Database programming experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Build and version control experience with Maven and Git.
- Systems analysis skills and the ability to interpret business and functional requirements and create detailed design documentation.
- Testing and documentation experience, including unit testing frameworks and creating Skills.md files.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and agile development practices.
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies and exposure to cloud technologies are preferred.
