Base Salary
$160k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build complete features across React interfaces, backend services, APIs, and data storage.
- Translate complex technical workflows into intuitive applications with clear progress, results, and failure investigation paths.
- Design and evolve APIs and data models for applications, automation, and integrations.
- Contribute to platform and application architecture through requirements and direct implementation.
- Develop software for local workstations, CI/CD environments, and air-gapped Kubernetes clusters.
- Test, deploy, debug, and support software using logs, metrics, traces, and user feedback.
- Work directly with users, product, design, and engineering teams to define scope, make tradeoffs, and deliver iterative improvements.
- Enable Hivemind teams to complete development and evaluation workflows through dependable applications and services.
- Provide documented APIs and reusable components that other teams can integrate with and extend.
Requirements
- Experience delivering and supporting production applications with meaningful frontend and backend contributions.
- Proficiency with TypeScript and React, including component design, state management, asynchronous data handling, and API integration.
- Experience building backend services in Go, Python, or a comparable language, including API design, validation, and error handling.
- Experience with databases and application data models, including querying, persistence, and schema changes.
- Ability to reason about service interactions, authentication, authorization, background jobs, and failures across application boundaries.
- Familiarity with containers, CI/CD, and deploying and debugging services in shared environments.
- Clear communication, sound engineering judgment, and the ability to take work from an ambiguous problem through a supported solution.
- Preferred experience includes Kubernetes deployment and troubleshooting, Helm charts, service configuration, networking, and persistent storage.
- Preferred experience includes developer tools or technical applications for simulation, experimentation, training, testing and evaluation, or deployment.
- Preferred experience includes job orchestration, distributed execution, or data-processing workflows using Ray, Kubernetes Jobs, Argo Workflows, or Dagster.
- Preferred experience includes schema-driven APIs, generated clients, service integrations, plugin systems, shared component libraries, and AI-assisted workflows or agent-tool integrations.
- Familiarity with cloud, on-premises, edge, or air-gapped deployments, robotics, autonomy, or simulation is preferred.
